Nataliia Petrenko Litvinova
Detail of “Sacred Coyote Family” by Nataliia Petrenko Litinova, 28 x 36, 2026
July 6 - September 3, 2026
These works are part of Nataliia’s new series dedicated to the allegory of motherhood, which she explores through the images of Canadian animals. This series features a second theme: we observe animals, but they also observe us, completely defenseless against humans. Sadly, this series also addresses the loss of animals during wars waged between humans. Nataliia arrived with her son from Ukraine in 2022 due to the outbreak of hostilities, and this topic is very important to her.
“At the same time, many women have voluntarily taken their children to various safe countries, and this message brings us back to the theme of motherhood. The paintings are done in oil on canvas in my original style, which I have been developing over several years.”
