July 25 - September 12, 2025
Migration is not just a journey - it is a tearing and a stitching , a remembering and a reimagining. It is the ache of leaving, the weight of arrival and the silent work of rebuilding the self in an unfamiliar land.
Raices en Movimiento was born from this emotional landscape, offering a space where artists can give shape to the stories that often go unspoken.
Each work in this exhibition holds memory like a seed - fragments of home carried across oceans, deserts, and borders. through paint, fabric, photography, and form, these artists speak of longing, of the delicate dance between belonging and exile. They reflect on what it means to carry your culture in your body, to hold tight to your mother tongue, your ancestors, your rituals - while learning how to breathe in a new world.
This is art as survival. Art as testimony. Art as a bridge between what was, what is, and what might still be. Within these pieces lives the deep nostalgia for the place left behind, the quiet grief of what was lost, and the radiant hope that roots can grow even in unfamiliar soil.
Raices wn Movimiento is n or only an exhibition, it is a sanctuary for stories, a collective heartbeat. It invites us all to pause and witness the resilience of the human spirit, to see migration not as a headline or statistic, but as a profoundly personal, intimate act of courage. This is a space for those in motion and for those learning to stay. A space where memory and hope move hand in hand and where every root, no matter how far it travels, still remembers where it began.
